Section 1.
Nominations
A.
A nominating committee of three
(3) members shall be elected in the following manner to serve with
the appointed chairperson.
At the regular meeting in the month of March, a Nominating Committee shall be elected by the membership. Two (2) of the members shall be from the general membership and one (1) shall be a member of the Executive Board other than officers, unless the chairperson is from the Executive Board in which case there shall be one (1) from the Executive Board other than officers and two (2) shall be from the general membership.
This change to the Standing Rules has been proposed. These will also be voted on at the regular meeting in June. The reason for this change is that the treasurer sends the applications to National but no members sign the application before it is sent. There is no documentation in the current Standing Rules on dues for retiree dues. National requires that retires pay 50% of National dues.
