Our Community Service
Committee has organized a service project with the Mid-Ohio Food Bank on
Wednesday, April 7th from 5:30 until 8:00 and we need your help.
Beginning at 5:30 there will
be a tour of the facility for those who have never been there before.
PLEASE WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES AS YOU WILL BE STANDING FOR THE TOUR AND
FOR THE WORK PROJECT.
We will be working in the
Reclamation Room - sorting food that has been given to the Food Bank
from Kroger, Giant Eagle, Meijers, etc. We'll be pulling the expired
food products and then sorting them by product type to be put back on
the shelf for Food Pantries, After School Programs, etc.
If you'd like we can all go
out and get a bite to eat at a restaurant in Grove City…OR, I can see
how long the Food Bank would allow us to stay in the building and we
could bring in snacks, have pizza delivered, whatever. The new
Mid-Ohio Food Bank facility is right off Stringtown Rd. I will
provide directions once we get closer to the date.
