Earth Day

April 22nd, a day to celebrate the environment.  The first Earth Day was organized in 1970 to promote the ideas of ecology, encourage respect for life on earth, and highlight growing concern over pollution of the soil, air and water.  It was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an nationwide teach-in day on the environment in a speech to a fledgling conservation group in Seattle.

This year will mark the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day.

Keep recycling and buying green. It's good for the earth.
