IWOCO’S regular monthly meeting was held at The Grange Training Center on October 4, 2007 

Pledge of Allegiance/Collect: Vikki Angelo 

Introductions of guests: Stacey Nichols, Erin Johnson and Isabelle Porter all from State Auto, and Betsy Adams from Scioto Valley Association. 

Speaker:  CWC speak off. Speakers are Elaine Fagan Moore, Betsy Adams, and Debbie Fischer 

The meeting was called to order at: 7:52 P.M., by President Angie Schmitt 

Treasurer – Diana Howell will read the Treasurer’s Report.  The report will be filed for audit.  If any member wants a copy contact Diana. 

Secretary – Karen Lawson read a resume of correspondence:  None 

Communications - Darlene Teague – Winter event will be in January 2008, going to Wheeling WVA to gamble and have dinner at Olgby State Park Lodge 

Bulletin deadline is October 15, 2007 

Bylaws – Sherry Distelhorst: None 

Community Service –Diane Felder - We collected $88.00 in change for the Ohio Council for Literacy- thank you everyone for your support, Diane read a letter from Tammy Wharton Executive Director from Columbus Literacy Council thanking our organization for the donation.

Our charity again will be Ronald McDonald House.  Pat also suggested we continue to collect change for the Literacy program again since National Focus is on literacy again this year.  We agreed to start collecting change again at the Nov meeting. 

Education/Legislation – Vikki Angelo: Vikki thanked our speakers again for their speeches. 

Membership – Heidi Kugler – no report 

Safety – Rose Schneider:  next fire award will be on 10/16/07 at the fire house at 1250 Fairwood Ave.

New Business:  Angie passed a message on to the association from Sherry thanking us for our thoughts & prayers during the time of her husbands passing.  Our association donated $40.00 to the Lillian Lane Scholarship Fund in memory of Paul Distelhorst.
