Topic: The Basic Four of
Leadership and how the most successful Mangers add recognition to each.
Explored the significance of recognition and the influence it has on
feelings and production.

Read the Treasurer’s
Report. The report will be filed
for audit. If any member wants a

Secretary – Theresa Fagan

Introduced Margaret Wildi,
who read a resume of correspondence from the 2008-2009 Board of Directors
meeting, held August 8-10, 2008, in Tulsa, Ok. The correspondence included
Motions approved by the Board. Copy
of the Motions will be filed with the secretary report.
Communications

Bylaws
– President Elect Heidi Kugler
Heidi
is heading a committee that is re-writing the job description book and reviewing
the by-laws. The committee includes
Angie Schmitt, Pat Johnson, and Mary Wildi. Plan is to refer to the book as, “Job Manual”.
Community Service –
Caroline Barnes Weygandt
Carolyn attended the
Literacy Council thank you reception. She
has decided to continue to support the Literacy Council and Ronald McDonald
House this year. Caroline explained
the whale bank and purpose.
Education/Legislation
– Vikki Angelo:
October
meeting is Legislation Month. Guest
speaker will be LaVawn Coleman, with Grange Insurance.
I-Day:
Representatives from different companies plan program for 4/1/09.
Also have projects to raise money for insurance education scholarships.
At the next IPOCO meeting, plan to discuss Mentor and protégé’ class.
Membership –Kon
Chittavong
Total membership is 33.
Collaboratively working on a survey to explore seasoned and new members
opinions, recommendations, and general feedback on our organization.
Safety
– Theresa Fagan Smith
Margaret
Wildi assisted with the printing of Police and Fire Safety certificates.
Theresa to deliver to CPD Friday 9/5/08 and first scheduled safety
ceremony to attend is on 9/11/08 at the Columbus Police Department on Marconi
Blvd. Asked for any volunteers to
attend the award ceremonies and also assist with presentations.
