President’s
Message October 2009
Our
September meeting was at the Buckeye Hall of Fame. It was a great place to be for the start of football
season - GO BUCKS! I really enjoyed
our speaker Larry Goldsmith. Tying
Dr. Seuss books to project management was very creative.
I will never look at ‘How the Grinch stole Christmas’ in the same
way. Julie is continuing our
look into branding our association and how we can meet your needs with her
on-line survey.
You
may have received an email from NAIW on the ‘I Can’ Series Webinar being
offered on September 24th. This
will qualify for CPIW/CPIM or DEA credits and it’s only $15.00 and can be done
from the comfort of your own home or office.
If you take advantage of this you need to be sure to share your
certificate with your employer. Also document when you took the course so you have that
information if you apply for a designation or an award in the future.
Here’s
another way to support ovarian cancer research this month.

Our Ohio Council ‘Communicate with Confidence’
speak-off will be part of the Annual Meeting and Legislation Day in November.
We have a number of excellent speakers in our association.
It would be nice to have a representative from IPOCO participating this
year. There’s still time to
volunteer!
Look for minutes from our regular business meeting on
our association website (www.naiw-ipoco.org)
under the monthly bulletin tabs. Notify
Stacey Nichols to report proposed corrections.
Printed copies will be provided on request
